Sweet Cherry Wine
If only I could get my hands on you,
I’d make you all mine in an instant,
If only I could run you through,
But this damn distance is so resistant.
I am here in maddening delay,
Wondering how I might get to you,
Fighting this waiting someday,
And the hours passing in deja vu.
So now I’m coming to you in thought,
To dance with your dreams in mine,
Giving you everything we now have not,
Until I finally taste your sweet cherry wine.
