Reach for Me
Across the wanting miles, you reach for me,
Like a dream lingering at the edge of memory,
Bending time, chance and distant circumstance.
You paint reality with our dreams of romance.
In a whisper, you reach into the soul of me,
Like a waiting kiss that delivers sweet revelry,
Banishing doubt, perchance and patient vigilance,
I make love to your yearning circumstance.
In a moment, I am before your heated divinity,
Brought suddenly to our shuddering ecstasy,
Tasting your perfection and simple extravagance,
Erupting in true love and heavenly radiance.
