Angel's Flight
I want not for life’s gold,
Or fame or power’s insight,
I seek heaven’s eternal truth,
True love and guiding light.
I seek the most easily given,
Yet that held most tight,
To embrace your perfection,
To worship you in the night.
I want for our glory and our unity,
For our trust, our truth, our starlight,
To hold your glistening passion
Up to the blazing sun of our delight.
In your embrace I come to lost measure,
Touching heaven in your angel’s light,
This life’s reward, your soul treasure,
Earthly perfection, our angel’s flight.
